Mountain House 16, Lathrop 0 (5)

Shelby Aquino doled out a hit, and pitcher Lylliana Avila finished with six strikeouts for Lathrop (0-14, 1-18 overall) in the Western Athletic Conference finale.

"While the final score may not show much, I'm proud of this team and they fight they've had all year,” Lathrop coach Stephanie Maestretti said. “They've worked through, and have improved a lot throughout the season. While end scores may not show that growth, the girls know they've improved from where they started, and that's one of the things I can ask of them as a coach.

“I would have like to have sent out our seniors on a better note, but I can't thank them enough for what they've done for the team this year."
