Ripon Christian opened its boys soccer season with a dramatic 2-1 win Monday at Bret Harte.

Jack Dooley put away the winning goal in the 78th minute after a feed from Drew Meester. Goalie David Koolhaas, who finished with three saves, stuffed a 1v1 opportunity for Bret Harte just a few minutes before that to keep it deadlocked.

The visiting Knights struck first in the sixth minute, with Danny Lambdin setting up Hyeon Lee for the goal. Bret Harte later tied it on a penalty kick.
