RIPON — The Ripon Chiefs varsity punished the Argonaut Jr. Mustangs 38-0 on Saturday in Mother Lode Valley Football League action at Stouffer Field. 

Ripon’s Kaden MacDannald (11 carries, 71 yards) posted touchdown runs of 4 and 12 yards. Garrison Reis (five carries, 31 yards; 4 of 7 passing, 63 yards) had a 2-yard touchdown run and a 9-yard touchdown pass to Jesse Ochoa (three recpetions, 38 yards). Xzavier Clark (six carries, 70 yards; one reception, 25 yards) scored on a 5-yard touchdown run and Ochoa was 4 for 5 on two-point conversion kicks. Frank Teicheira IV added four carries for 26 yards.

Marcus Atienza made seven tackles for the Chiefs. Reis forced a fumble and along with MacDannald made six tackles. Eli Buck added five stops, Ochoa (fumble recovery), Skylar Ortiz (fumble recovery) and Clark four apiece and Teicheira IV and Rylan McDonald three apiece. Canaan Clark, Ty Herrin, Austin Wood, Brock Felt and Julian Meyer also contributed on defense. 

 

Junior varsity

Chiefs 18, Jr. Mustangs 6

Eric Guevara scored three touchdowns for Ripon.

Guevara scored on runs of 23, 26 and 28 yards. 

Logan Lefebrve made an interception for the Chiefs. Vince Eves, Wyatt Moorehouse, Xaiden Reyes, Julian Deweerd, Seth Beltran, Lefebvre, Tony Eves and Xaiden Reyes all made significant contributions on defense. 

 

Novice

Jr. Mustangs 13, Chiefs 7

Ace Dougherty connected with Kaiden Romero for the lone Ripon touchdown.

Dougherty was 3 of 4 passing for 29 yards and Romero had two receptions for 20 yards and five carries for 50 yards. Xabriel Reyes led the Chiefs ground game with 12 carries for 93 yards and made one reception for nine yards. Zach Thomas, Josh Baliel, Jarrod Smith, Nik Vitz, Mason Buck and Jacob Dood played well on the offensive line for Ripon. 

Reyes made nine tackles and forced a fumble. Dougherty had six tackles with Gavin Duran and Kaiden Romero (onside kick recovery) each making five stops. Ivan Godina, Mason Buck, Jaden Becerra, Isaac Ochoa and Chase Rainer all contributed on defense for the Chiefs. 

 

TVYFL

Ripon Knights varsity 49, Merced Blue Devils 18

Anden Ries ran for five touchdowns for the Knights.

Ries ran for 163 yards on 13 carries and made three receptions for 29 yards. Jace Biedleman (40 passing yards) had an 11-yard touchdown throw to Izreal San Nicolas and Preston Zuidervaart recovered a fumble for a touchdown. Carson Sanders had 18 carries for 105 yards.

Ries made nine tackles, Jacob Camper (fumble recovery) six, Alijah Marshall four and Chase Bogetti (forced fumble) three. Rey Galindo made an interception and Izreal San Nicolas recovered a fumble and had 50 yards on kickoff returns. Bogetti made three conversion kicks. 

 

Junior varsity

Knights 14, Blue Devils 13

Several goal-line stands led by Eddie Ramirez, Hunter Steele, Konner Kibler and Mario Garcia kept the Blue Devils out of the end zone late in the game to seal the one-point victory. 

Ramirez and Steele made 11 tackles apiece, Kibler eight and Garcia four. Other defensive standouts included Brady Rossi, Matthew Chapman, Michael Pires, J.P. Abrew, and Chase Bunnell (interception). 

Steele led the ground game with 21 carries for 213 yards and two touchdowns. 

 

Novice

Knights 13, Blue Devils 6

Gavin Decena legged out a 46-yard touchdown run for Ripon.

Decena had 15 carries for 92 yards and Landon Corcoran (16 carries, 59 yards) had a 6-yard touchdown run. Kaeo Sanchez had eight carries for 21 yards.

Jax Booth made nine tackles, Kaeo Sanchez seven, David Rowe, Mason Durao and Landon Corcoran had five apiece and Luke McKiernan three.

 

DYFL

South Stockton Vikings varsity 40, 

Manteca Chargers 0

Andre Bonvillian had 55 yards rushing for Manteca.

Emilio Lopez added 30 yards rushing. Amillio Lopez led the Chargers defense with three tackles. J.J. Puertz added two stops and Junior Lupian one. 

 

Junior varsity

Vikings 13, Chargers 0

Damariea Long and Lucky Jhadis made five tackles a piece for Manteca.

Chris Chavez added four stops with Keyshawn Bartlow, Jarvis Robinson and  Hezekiah Griffin making two tackles each.

Jhadis gained 48 yards on six carries. Long, Bartlow and Chavez all contributed on offense. 

 

Novice 

Chargers 19, Vikings 0

Darien East, Adriel Cooks and Nicholes Holt each scored a touchdown for Manteca.

East gained 94 yards on six carries and was 3 of 7 passing for 16 yards, Cooks had three carries for 75 yards and Holt picked up 48 yards on five carries. Adriel Cooks and Micheal Torio also contributed on offense.

Dom Roa was in on six tackles for the Chargers, Nicholes Holt five, Isaiah Herrera four and Michael Torio and Darien East three apiece. 

 

Jr. Novice 

Chargers 14, 

Vikings 7 (OT)

Zack Behrbaum made a huge sack in overtime to give the ball back to Manteca for Tobias Cox Jr. to score his second touchdown of the day.

Junior Evans led the Chargers line with Jaxon Eidschun, Lloyal Galtney, Diesel Spangler and Jovanny Mendez. Lloyal Galtney came up big with a e tackle to stop the Vikings from scoring. 

Junior Evans forced a fumble to give the ball back to the Chargers to end the game. 

 

Cen-Cal

Turlock Bulldogs peewees 26, Manteca Raiders 6

DeAndre Patterson gained 72 yards with a touchdown for Manteca.

Patterson made seven tackles, Jordan Murphy four, Ayden Brush (interception) three and Anthony Tamez (interception) two.
