Andrew Manes had himself a game Thursday.

Manes finished with three assists and a goal as Ripon Christian netted three in the first half of a 4-0 Southern League victory over visiting Denair Thursday.

The game was scoreless through 17 minutes until Manes assisted Travis Vander Molen in front of the net.

In the 21st minute, Manes found Kyle Van Vuren for the 2-0 advantage. Manes then recorded a third assist in the 39th minute after hooking up with Van Vuren, again.

In the second half, Manes scored via an assist from Danny Vander Molen as the Knights’ defense limited the Coyotes to just four shots on goal.

“We didn’t play the most refined game of soccer, but the guys were able to finish,” Ripon Christian coach Keith Terpsma said. “It’s tough to complain when they’re putting up numbers like they are. I’m very proud of the team chemistry that’s evolving as the season progresses.”

Ripon Christian (2-0 SL, 7-3-2 overall) will face Gustine on Monday.
