Ripon Christian nets shutout win over Gustine

The Ripon Christian tennis team dominated all but one match in a 9-0 Southern League victory at Gustine last Friday.

The best contested match was in coed doubles. The Ripon Christian tandem of Josh Donoho and Makenna Koslosky edged out Luke Perry and Jacki Mello, 5-7, 6-0, 10-8.

The rest ended quickly.

Darren Boersma defeated Erik Thomas in the No. 1 boys singles contest, 6-1, 6-2. Mason Veilleux defeated Joaquin Rico, 6-3, 6-2.

Ripon Christian’s female singles players, Kristi VanDiver and Haley Veilleux, both earned 6-0, 6-0 shutouts, as did the team’s No. 2 doubles team of Brandon Brown and Zach Davis.

In other doubles matches, Kyle Van Vuren and Casey Kamper won, 6-2, 6-0; Katie Donoho and Stephanie Vandepol prevailed, 6-0, 6-1; and Lauren Herbert and Dakota Eastin were victorious, 6-1, 6-0.
