Ripon Christian rolls into Trans-Valley League with some positive momentum after its come-from-behind win at Atwater on Monday.

The Knights trailed for most of the contest but hit big shots down the stretch to prevail, 68-62. They were coming off back-to-back defeats in which they held halftime leads over Liberty Ranch and El Camino.

Ripon Christian (10-4) outscored the Falcons (8-10) 25-12 in the fourth quarter Monday. Travis Vander Molen tied it at 59-59 with 2 minutes left and the Knights took off from there. Austin Alger’s 3-point basket put them up for good, and Sean Broker and Danny Vander Molen sank four straight free throws combined to cap the decisive 9-0 run.

Danny Vander Molen hit five 3s and finished with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists to pace Ripon Christian. Sean Broker added 21 points and seven boards. Travis Vander Molen added nine points and six assets.

The Knights open TVL action at Hilmar on Friday.
