Ripon Christian takes narrow loss to Hughson

TURLOCK — Co-medalists Abbi Phol and Rylie Aguiar each shot a 50 to anchor Hughson’s close win over visiting Ripon Christian 227-232 at Turlock Country Club.

Ripon Christian (6-4) remains in second place in the Valley Foothill League South Division standings thanks to its top finish in the mid-season tournament, while the Huskies improved to 8-2 in dual matches.

Leading the Knights was Perris Larson with a 52. Madison de Graaf added a 55, Saylor DeAbreu a 62 and Marika Bos a 63.

RIPON — The Indians (6-4) won handily in their tune-up for their next test at Greenhorn Creek against Bret Harte.

Bianca and Emily Harris shared medalist honors with 10-over 41s. Myra Toledo and Kassidy Isham were not far behind with a 42 and 43, respectively. Haley Meece did not factor into the scoring with a 46 but picked up league points for the individual standings.

Weston Ranch 337

STOCKTON — Weston Ranch tied its season low on its home course at Van Buskirk, with Sydny Grant scoring in the 50s for the first time with a 56.

For Manteca, Sophie Serrano carded a 59 in her first match. Alyssa Gutierrez was low medalist with a 49. Other Buffalo scorers were Megan Garlets (52), Bella Gonzales (52), Taylor Reed (53) and Kylee Eberlee (55).
