Ripon used a balanced attack and pulled away after the first quarter Saturday to defeat visiting Franklin-Stockton 52-36 in non-league girls’ basketball action.

 “We started off kind of sluggish,” Indians coach George Contente said. “But then we did a  nice job adjusting and putting pressure on them.

 “We had a lot of people score and that is a good thing for us.”

 Jourdy Richter led Ripon (8-7) with 16 points and Emily Pederson (five rebounds, two steals) added 10 points. Hailey Monroe had five rebounds and three steals while Courtney Slamon added six points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
