It was a program-wide sweep for Ripon’s volleyball team Tuesday night, which was capped by a 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 varsity win over visiting Hughson. The sophomore and freshman teams both won in two games.

“I am so proud of the program as a whole,” Ripon coach Adrienne Uecker said. “Every team did great and has shown great overall growth — individually and as a program.”

Setter Jourdy Ricther handed out 26 assists but also contributed four kills to the attack. Kylie Stevens led the way with 12 kills and tied libero Danny Arteaga (3 aces) for team-high honors with 12 digs. Emily O’Brien added 10 digs and three aces. Karisa Carlson pitched in three blocks.

It was a good bounce-back effort for the Indians (5-3) ,who were coming off heartbreaking defeats to Hilmar and Escalon, the top team teams in the Trans-Valley League.
