Jessica Ingalls and the East Union girls golf team wrapped up the Valley Oak League dual-match schedule strong on Wednesday, defeating Manteca 268-314 at Manteca Park Golf Course.
Ingalls led the way with an even-par 36. Emily Camara carded a 48 for Manteca.
Following Ingalls from East Union (4-1 VOL, 5-1 overall) were Alizae Farias with a 52, Ariana Pale with a 54, Kendall Perry with a 61 and Tori Johnson with a 65. Alesia Harris contributed a 54 for the Buffaloes, with Layla Flannigan (67), Kylie Elliott (70) and Payton Hendrix (75) making up the rest of the team score.
Both teams will next compete in the VOL Tournament held Oct. 17 at Micke Grove Golf Links.

Valley Oak League Meet 2
Manteca’s Oscar Angel took first in the varsity boys race at Mistlin Sports Complex, finishing in 16 minutes, 13.9 seconds.
Christian Gonzalez was the runner-up in 16:20.5 Oakdale won the team competition with 32 points. Kimball (48), Sierra (62), Manteca (91) and Central Catholic (114) followed.
Sierra outpointed Oakdale 27-28 to win varsity girls. Sierra’s Mikayla Bueno (20:33.1) and Monse Saavedra (21:24.2) followed race winner Bradie Evans (20:27.8) of Oakdale. Haley Hill contributed a fifth-place finish for Sierra in 21:38.5, and Kiana Kutch was 10th in 23:15.4.
GIRLS TENNIS
Manteca 6, East Union 3
Emma Ngo (6-1, 6-0), Shreya Raman (6-2, 6-0), Christina Nguyen (6-2, 6-4), Michailla Springs (6-0, 6-1), Parm Noor (6-0, 6-2) and Paisley Coenenberg (6-0, 6-0) won singles matches for Manteca.
East Union got all of its wins from doubles duos Jarely Ortiz/Gabriela Castillo (7-5, 6-1), Gianna Fernandez/Carrera Mendez (6-2, 6-3) and Atyana Rodriguez/Danica Simpson (6-2, 6-2).
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Lathrop 3, Pacheco 0
Lathrop (8-1, 12-3 overall) swept the Western Athletic Conference match on Tuesday 25-22, 25-10, 25-15 ahead of its first-place match with Beyer.
Janessa Ward fired 13 kills, and Elizabeth Andrade netted eight kills and 10 digs. Julia Roaquin racked up 26 assists. Justine Mabutas added 16 digs and three aces.
JV volleyball
East Union 2, River Islands 0
Bailey Ford served six aces to go with her four kills, leading East Union’s 25-14, 25-18 sweep.
Kendal Blackwell added four kills and six aces. Gwen Baker chipped in four digs and four aces. Jill Ramirez had six assists and four aces.
Lathrop 2, Pacheco 1
The Spartans came from behind to win, 17-25, 25-23, 15-12.
Alyana Vere led them with five kills and five digs. Kira Davis posted three kills, three digs and two aces. Shakira Porter and Jazmine Jimenez contributed three kills and one block apiece. Angelina Ormeno handed out 13 assists. Tatiana Lopez picked up 12 digs.
Frosh volleyball
East Union 2, River Islands 0
The Riptide prevailed, 25-16, 25-20.
Kaylee Bruan anchored the East Union attack with 14 assists. Andi Guibor served up five aces. Chantell Ochoa collected 10 digs.
Lathrop 2, Pacheco 1
The Spartans squeaked out the 25-12, 22-25, 15-10 victory, getting four aces each from Sara Garcia, Rosemary Labaste and Erin Chunn (five assists).
Taylor Rios and Brianna Valencia each hammered three kills. Tamia Simmons contributed seven digs and three aces.
