Sophomore Gabbi Ilardi carded a 1-under 32 Monday at Jack Tone Golf Course, helping host Ripon fend off East Union 201-207 in a Valley Oak League girls golf dual match.

Brittney Barrington finished with a 35 to lead the Lancers. 

The Indians supported their top scorer with Zoe Bremer adding a 38, Tyla Branham a 40, Katie Martin a 42 and Anna DiGuilio a 49.

For East Union, Michelle Euan and Ashley Trinidad each scored a 39. Morgan Geske and Heighlee Mosher contributed a 46 and 48, respectively.

WAC Tournament 

Two Lathrop players were eliminated in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference North Division Singles Tournament held at Grace Davis of Modesto.

Amanda Fernandez lost to Patterson's Zianna Garcia, 3-6, 2-6. Godwina Ogbeide was edged out by Cynthia Madrigal of Beyer, 5-7, 7-5, 6-7 (1).

Play continues Thursday with the doubles tournament.
