ROUNDUP: Seefeldt cards 36 in Ripon golf win over RC

Cameron Seefeldt finished 5-over-par 36 Thursday at Ripon Golf Club, giving Ripon High the 177-184 edge over Ripon Christian in a Trans Valley League dual match.

Teammate Grace Oatmann was the overall runner-up with a 43. Brynn Daley added a 45, and Eve Toledo a 53.

Kara Koolhaas carded a 45 for Ripon Christian. Sophia Cheney and Katie Thoming each netted a 46. Reece Drost rounded out the Knights’ score with a 47.


GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Ripon Christian 3, Tracy 0

The Knights (6-2) rolled to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-17 road win in their final tune-up for the TVL.

Paige Van Hofwegen and Alyssa Hofman blasted 10 kills apiece, and Brynn Bohn pitched in eight. Alanna Blanco orchestrated the attack and totaled 29 assists to go with four service aces.

Leading the defense were Bella Blanco with 12 digs and Haley Kootstra with three blocks.

Ripon Christian also swept the junior varsity and freshman matches. The Knights face Hilmar and Hughson next Tuesday and Thursday to start league action.


GIRLS TENNIS

Manteca 6, Kimball 3

The Buffaloes won all six singles matches Wednesday in Tracy.

Hailie Kim took care of Oviya Jayaprakash 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 match, and No. 2 Shreya Raman won by the same score against Jasmin Khangura.

No. 3 Saihaj Ghuman came through in the only three-set match of the day, warding off Kylie Albrecht, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 10-8.

Paisley Coenenberg downed Natalie Abogado, 6-3, 7-5. Rae Limbago edged Sunjum Saini, 6-3, 7-6 (6). Kum Ghuman secured the singles sweept with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Rihanna Bwata.

Manteca is competing in the California Tennis Classic in Clovis today and Saturday.
