Junior wide receiver Blake Mount was on the receiving end of four touchdown passes from Kirk Simoni in East Union’s bounce-back performance in Hayward.

Mount also caught a 2-point conversion, and Carson Sanders chipped in another 2-pointer on a run play.

While the passing game continued to shine, the defense had a big turnaround from last week’s 53-26 loss at Armijo of Fairfield.

“We did much better defensively reading our keys, doing our jobs and trusting each other on the field this week,” East Union coach Mike Kuhnlenz said.
