Sierra High battled through some windy conditions Monday to defeat rival Manteca, 258-279.
Behind Nathaniel Livingston’s 47, the Timberwolves improved to 4-2 in Valley Oak League play.
He also earned medalist honor, edging out teammate Jackie Thai, who shot a 48 at Manteca Park’s nine-hole course.
Devan Brazil finished a few strokes behind the leaders by carding a 50.
Dillon St. Claire (54), Damian Simon (59) and David Perry (61) rounded out the scoring for Sierra.
Dylan Haro fired a 49 to lead the Buffaloes.
The other scores were produced by Alex Armendariz (53), Nate Ibe (56), Ray Gallardo (57), Johnny White (64) and Ruben Hurtado (65).

Franklin of Stockton got three unearned runs in the first inning Monday but that was about it as Weston Ranch scored in every at-bat and won the non-league makeup baseball game 10-4 at Weston Ranch High.
Manuel Rubio, Carlos Drain and Jordan Severin each doubled for the Cougars, with Rubio going 2 for 4 with a stolen base and a run; Drain 2 for 3 with two RBI and a run and Severin scoring two runs. Amir Bowen wet for 4 with a run.
Bowen started on the hill and pitched three innings and was relieved by Severin who pitched four shutout innings and got the win.
