The DeJong sisters helped get Ripon Christian’s girls soccer team untracked Friday in a 4-1 Southern Athletic League road win over Delhi.

Trailing 1-0, the Knights evened the score in the 15th minute when Addison DeJong chipped a shot over the Hawks goalkeeper. Older sister Maya pushed Ripon Christian (4-0-1 SAL, 11-4-2 overall) ahead with a goal of her own in the 57th minute.

The DeJongs each scored one more to put it away. The win sets up a big week ahead, as the Knights face their three chief league rivals starting with Orestimba at home Monday.

Sierra 4, Kimball 0

Audie Garza scored in the fifth minute and later assisted Jorge Reyes’ goal at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium.

Adrian Ramirez and Emmanuel Ruiz contributed one goal apiece for Sierra (6-1 Valley Oak League, 12-2-1 overall), and Amun Singh had an assist.

The Timberwolves face rival East Union at River Islands Sports Complex today at noon.

Lathrop 3, Beyer 1

Sophomore Ociel Mora registered a hat trick, highlighting his big night with the equalizing bicycle kick in the first half.

He secured the go-ahead off a cross from Hector Hernandez. Jeorge Garcia and Reyli Villalpando assisted the other goals. Estevan Guzman collected nine saves.

The win helps keep Lathrop (4-5-1, 6-10-4 overall) in the hunt for a playoff berth out of the Western Athletic Conference.
