Tracy High’s sophomore baseball team did all the damage it needed to inflict in the second inning when it rallied for 11 runs to upend host East Union 12-3 Monday.

The Squires (1-2) jumped ahead 2-0 in the first inning but couldn’t muster much offense after that.

“Tracy is a very good team,” East Union coach Mike James said. “They threw three different guys at us and they held us hitless for a while. They are impressive.

“What I’m glad to see is my guys still battling after giving up the 11 runs. The kids are working really hard.”

Bryce Stonum produced a hit and a run. Alex Dias and Justin Ontiveros each plated a run.

Pitman 35, Manteca 5
Zach Menasco provided one of the few highlights for host Manteca with a three-run triple.

Pitman batted around twice in the opening frame and amassed 17 runs.
