The South all-star team snapped the North’s six-game winning streak with a 19-3 win Saturday at the University of the Pacific, the site of the 36th Annual Lions Club All-Star Football Classic. The South took a 6-3 lead into halftime before scoring a touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters. Four area standout football players took part in the all-star event as a part of the victorious South squad, Manteca’s LaRon Bennett, Sierra’s Michael Turner and Jacob Faulkner, and East Union’s Dakota Anderson.
