Juniors Tia Sidtikun and Ruth Waters represent Ripon High on the all-Trans Valley League girls basketball first team.

The second-year varsity players led the Indians to a second-place share in the TVL and were the veterans of a young team that features three sophomores who played significant minutes. One of those sophomores is Kelsey Alexander, an honorable-mention player.

Waters led Ripon in scoring (12.7 per game), 3-point shooting (26 made), free-throw shooting (73 percent), assists (3.4 per game) and steals (3.8 per game).

Sidtikun moved to the wing after playing in the post as a sophomore and averaged 8.9 points and five rebounds per game. Alexander, a 5-foot-8 post, checked in with 7.6 points and a team-best 5.2 rebounds.

League champion Modesto Christian (12-0, 25-6) had the most all-TVL selections with five, including Most Valuable Player Valerie Moore. Senior guard VeAnne Navarro and sophomores Lexy Tubbs and Jasmine Hampton join her on the first team.

Sisters Olivia and Janelle Luu of Riverbank are other noteworthy first-team selections. Their coach, Tim Carnes, was selected Coach of the Year.
