LODI — Ripon’s girls golf team continues to show improvement just one day after placing third in the Valley Foothill League North Division Mid-Year Tournament.
On Tuesday, the Indians defeated Linden 205-223 at Lockeford Springs Golf Course, improving to 2-3 in dual matches.
“We are starting to see the hard work pay off,” Ripon coach Eric Dambrosio said.
Bianca Toledo led the way with a 47. Emily Harris and Kassidy Isham tied for the third lowest score with 52s. Myra Toledo added a 54.
Madison Lara took second with a 51 for Linden. Bridgette Humphreys (56), Rachel Albritton (57) and Andrea Angviano (59) were other contributors for the host Lions.

STOCKTON — Bryanna Gavino was medalist with a 14-over 50 at Van Buskirk Golf Course, helping Sierra improve to 2-5 in league.
Hailee Looney was the runner-up with a 58. Hallie Trczinski (70), Kamiki Soulyalangsy (74) and Andie Gonzales (75) rounded out scoring for the Timberwolves.
Weston Ranch (1-5) had four players card career-best scores: Deena Faruqi (67), Anuprit Gill (70), Hanan Abdelwahed (72) and Lily Ortiz (73). Suprett Sandhu contributed a 70.
