Twolves maul WR to cap title run

Sierra celebrated senior night and its Valley Oak League outright championship with a trouncing of Weston Ranch on Tuesday night.
Eight different Timberwolves scored in the 12-0 victory at Daniel Teicheira Memorial Stadium. Sierra had already clinched its first title since 2010 on Monday. It’s also the 12th overall for the program, all under head coach Manuel Pires.
Daisy Valencia highlighted the onslaught with two goals and two assists. Yasmin Ballew, Jadyn Shinn and Brooke McKenzie also had two goals each. Kaleigh Doyle (two assists), Alison Bitle, Kyndra Kiser and Emily Cunial netted one goal apiece.
Sierra ended the regular season with a 13-1 VOL record and 22-2 overall.

Lathrop 2, Kimball 2
LATHROP — The Spartans (4-9-1, 4-11-1) rounded out a season of promise by tying Kimball (5-6-3, 7-13-3) on senior night.
Two freshmen scored for Lathrop. Kassandra Ceja buried a penalty kick in the first half. Jessica McNair, set up by Cydney Garcia’s throw-in, registered the tying goal in the second half.
