TWolves still unbeaten after win over Tokay

Sierra High wasted little time jumping out on the host Tokay Tigers, pushing across a pair of runs in their first at bat on their way to a 5-2 win over the Tigers Wednesday.

The Timberwolves would score all the runs they would need in the first two frames, adding a run in the second and another in the third. Allison Walljasper did all the rest, holding the Tigers to just two runs, one unearned, and striking out 12 in the complete game win.

Walljasper helped her cause, collecting two hits and driving in a run and scoring twice. Shakira Lewis and Daylynn Penner also collected two hits apiece for Sierra. The Timberwolves banged out 11 hits on the day, including a double by Lexus Barnes and a triple from Walljasper.

Michelle Arroyo and Iyana Hughes also banged out a hit for Sierra.

Walljasper improved to 4-0 on the young season and has struck out well over 50 batters in her first five starts of the season. Sierra will try and expound on its hot start, when they travel to Tracy to take on the Yellowjackets Friday.
