The Sierra girls soccer team was dealt its first loss Tuesday, falling 3-1 to host Tracy High in nonleague action.
Tracy (1-1) struck first in the fourth minute before Naomi Nunis assisted Sydnee Canales for the equalizer. The Bulldogs scored the go-ahead and insurance goals in the final 15 minutes of the match.
Sierra (2-1-1) was outshot 15-8.
“They have a good team, they deserve credit. But we didn’t play all that well,” Sierra coach Manuel Pires said.
Sierra opens its Vern Gebhardt Cup tournament Friday against Mesa Verde of Sacramento at 1:15 p.m. Pool play continues with its 6:15 nightcap with Linden.

The cold and blustery conditions led to some big numbers Tuesday at Manteca Park Golf Course.
Tim Baker was the top individual with a 49. Runner-up Justin Morrish finished one stroke shy of the leader. Also scoring for Manteca were Dakota Morris, Brandon Ramirez and Ray Tinnin, who each carded a 53.
Eddie Balanon paced Stagg with a 52.
