It was a good day for Manteca tennis Saturday at East Union High, the site of the 2009 Valley Oak League Novice Tournament. Manteca High took home the two top spots in the singles tournament, and two East Union doubles tandems squared off in the doubles finals. Manteca High’s Oral Nunis topped the Buffaloes’ Xavier Lopez in the singles final, 6-1. In the doubles championship, Matt Montero and Troy Hoffdahl upended Tyler Oba and Matt Ryan for the crown.
