The Buffaloes put together a dominant performance over crosstown rival Sierra High in Thursday's Valley Oak League action at Winters Gym.
Manteca High (2-0 VOL, 6-1 overall) won the match in three straight, 25-6, 25-8, 25-15.
"They played well," said Buffaloes coach Kevin Bolding, who saw his team ride the momentum through the better part of the first two games. They were coming off a five-game win at Sierra.
Therese Ferral helped her team get off to a fast 7-0 start, serving up a pair of aces in the opener.
Abbey Kadillak continued from there by serving up 14 straight points, dropping down four of her game-high eight aces while providing Manteca with a commanding 21-4 advantage.
Senior outside hitter Kaylee MacDannald had a pair spikes and Ferral also had a kill during that run.
Adrianna Powell had two kills to close out that first game.
Kadillak continued her steady play from the service line in the second game. She served up seven of her total 23 points for the match, giving Manteca a 6-0 start.
Moments later, MacDannald and Powell picked it up from there, helping the Buffaloes surge out to another big 20-6 lead.
Manteca finished off the game with three aces followed by Julia Moreno's kill.
"We didn't play up to our caliber," said Timberwolves coach Eryn Bowers.
Sierra (0-1, 4-2) came into its VOL opener with a stellar non-league record.
"We just didn't bring our game today," Bowers added.
Through the most of the third game, her team stayed even with the Buffaloes thanks to play of Becca Thomson, Renee Hamilton, and Natalie Dias.
Thomson's serving ace kept it close at the midway point.
But then Manteca poured it on behind the play of Camrenne Genilla, MacDannald, and Karlie Spohn, outscoring Sierra, 12-4, in the close-out game.
Sydnee Navarro finished with 15 assists during the three-game span, Kadillak came up with 20 digs, and MacDannald chipped in with eight kills for the Buffaloes.
