The Manteca Cowboys youth football organization of the National Youth Football League is conducting open signups at Straw Hat Pizza in Manteca from 6-8 p.m.
Registration dates are: March 5 and 19; April 2, 16 and 30; and May 14 and 28.
The Cowboys offer four levels of competition: starts (6-8, max weight 115 pounds), rookie (9-10, max weight of 140 and lighter 11-year-olds), junior varsity (11-12, max weight of 155 and lighter 13-year-olds), and varsity (12-14 with an unlimited weight restriction except for ball-carrying weight of 185 pounds). Varsity players must be 14 as by Aug. 1.

REBELS: The Delta Rebels youth football and cheer organization will hold signups on the following dates: March 5 and 19; April 2, 16 and 30; May 7, 14 and 21; June 4, 11 and 18; July 2 and 11.
Signups will take place at the Manteca Library’s McFall room from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Times for the final date, July 11, are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Delta Rebels will also have an informational booth set up during the Manteca Street Faire April 4 and 5. A $10 discount is available for early registration and/or signing up each additional sibling.
Delta has four teams ranging in ages 6-14.

CHARGERS: The Manteca Chargers are holding signups every Sunday (except Easter) until July 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza located in the Kohl’s shopping center.
Registration fees have been reduced for the fourth consecutive year and are down to $90 per child. There is no mandatory fundraising.
The Chargers are seeking players ranging in ages 6-14. Practices are held at Sierra High.

JAGUARS: The Manteca Jaguars youth football and cheer program continues registration March 11 and 25, April 8 and 22 and May 13 and 27 at the same place and times. The Jaguars will also have a sign-up and informational booth set up during the Manteca Street Faire April 4 and 5.

SENIOR GAMES
The Manteca Convention & Visitors Bureau is currently searching for volunteers, officials, chairpersons, and athletes for the following sports: Tennis, track & field, volleyball, dance, pickleball, martial arts and BMX racing.

BIG LEAGUE DREAMS
Big League Dreams Sports Park in Manteca is now taking registrations for both their indoor soccer and softball leagues.
Men’s, women’s and co-ed leagues will be offered for all levels of play. Leagues are available Sunday through Saturday.

SOCCER
The last chance to sign-up for the Manteca Parks & Recreation Youth Co-ed Soccer League for kids ages 7 through 14 is March 19 at 5 p.m.
You can sign-up at the Parks & Rec Department or online at www.mantecagov.com/parks.
The eight-week recreational league will start the week of April 27.
Practices are held during the week and games are Saturdays at Chadwick Park.
The registration fee is $60 (non-residents add $10).
Participants get a jersey and socks.
Depending on registration numbers, the Department reserves the right to combine age groups.
Try-outs will be held March 21 at Chadwick Park.
The Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer coaches and league sponsors.

MFC: Manteca Futbol Club is holding tryouts to fill its 20 competitive teams in March.

MASL: The Manteca Area Soccer League kicks off registration for the fall season March 7 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Manteca Library.

SHE-DEVILS: The She Devils NorCal Fastpitch Under-14 softball team is still looking for one to two more players (pitcher and position player) to fill an already talented roster.

TEAM USA CLINIC: The Manteca Mayhem will host a Team USA clinic, April 9 and 10 at Big League Dreams.
A number of former Olympic gold medalists will be on hand to offer 14 hours of instruction over the course of the camp.
The clinic will run from 9 a.m, to 4 p.m. on both days and a one-hour lunch will be provided.

WRESTLING
The new Manteca Grapplers Club will be holding practices on Tuesdays and Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. starting March 3 at the Manteca High wrestling room.
Cost for registration with the club is $25 and $40 for a USA Wrestling membership.
Tournaments, which begin March 28, are held Saturdays and are short drives from Manteca.
Children as young as 5 and adults are welcome to join.

BASEBALL
BABE RUTH: Manteca Babe Ruth has announced its tryouts dates for the three age divisions it offers.
Tryouts for the 13-year-old division begin March 7 at 1 p.m. at East Union High.
The 14-15 division tryouts are on April 25 and May 2 at 10 a.m. also at East Union. The 16-18 year olds will try out on the same dates and site starting at 1 p.m.
Registration will also be accepted during the tryouts. Sign-up fee is $130 for 13-15 year olds, and $150 for 16-18.

MLL: Manteca Little League will hold Opening Day ceremonies and game-day activities, Saturday, March 21 at 9 a.m. at Lincoln Park located on Powers Avenue in Manteca.
Opening Ceremonies and team presentations start at 9 a.m. All players must arrive by 8:30 a.m. in full uniform.
Also that day the first games of the season kick off, a homerun derby will take place and food will be available.
