Phillies overpower Indians in Northgate junior division play

The Phillies had an eight-run third inning on the way to a 17-1 mercy rule win in four innings over the Indians in Northgate Little League junior division action.

Justin Severson led the Phillies, going 3 for 3 with an RBI and three runs. Tyler Looney was 2 for 3 with two runs and Even Jeffery went 1 for 2 with three RBI and two runs. 

Luke Abrew singled and stole home for the Indians.

Nationals 18, Giants 11 (8)

A two-run error led to an eight-run inning eighth inning for the Nationals in their extra-inning win over the Giants in that saw the two teams combine for 31 hits. 

Renzo Garcia and Preston Smith had three hits each for the Nationals with Dylan Stonum, Anthony Jimenez, Chris Chavez and Andrew Churich also contributing on offense. 

Andrew Robinson (seven strikeouts), Stonum (four strikeouts) and Jayden Pimentel (strikeout) shared the pitching duties for the Nationals.

Nathan Moore had an RBI single for Giants.
