Blanco’s sacrifice fly leads Stockton over Inland Empire

 SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Dairon Blanco hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Stockton Ports to an 8-7 win over the Inland Empire 66ers on Friday.
Nate Mondou scored the go-ahead run on the sacrifice fly after he started the inning on second and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt.
Inland Empire had a runner on third in the bottom of the 10th, but Luis Rengifo grounded out to end the game.
Reliever Will Gilbert (2-0) picked up the win after he struck out three over two scoreless innings. Carlos Salazar (0-1) went one inning, allowing one run in the California League game.
Kevin Merrell doubled and singled three times, scoring three runs and driving home a couple in the win.
Several 66ers chipped in at the plate, as five players picked up at least a pair of hits. Jahmai Jones tripled and singled, driving home two runs.
