East Union got solid efforts from its top two golfers, who powered the Lancers to a 254-284 Valley Oak League victory over Manteca at Manteca Park Golf Course on Tuesday.
Natalie Cowan finished 5-over 42 on the front nine for low-round honors despite taking a triple bogey on hole 3. Kendra Campbell, meanwhile, shot a lifetime best 45.
Haley Leonard contributed a 50 for the Lancers (4-2). Kennedy Goodnough posted a 57, and Pressley Graham a 60.
Manteca dropped to 3-3 in the VOL. Taylor Reed led the Buffaloes with a 53. Following her were Kylee Eberle (55), Bella Gonzales (57), Sierra Martinez (58) and Haighley Kissee (61).
East Union plays host to Lathrop today back at Manteca Park Golf Course. Manteca heads to Van Buskirk Golf Course in Stockton to meet Weston Ranch.

RIPON — The Cougars tallied their first win of the season behind Sierra Strambler’s 48 at Jack Tone Golf Course.

Abigail Lee (63) , Kaitlynn Edringon (66), Chloe Malicoat (62), Eghosa Ogbeide (65) and Gurmeen Kaur (66) scored for Lathrop.
