DENVER (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have placed right-hander Santiago Casilla on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain and recalled George Kontos from Triple-A Fresno. Kontos is available to pitch against Colorado on Thursday.

Casilla was injured running out a ground ball in the eighth inning of Wednesday night’s 5-1 win over the Rockies. Casilla stumbled over first base and fell to the ground in pain. He was helped off the field.

Casilla had an MRI on Wednesday night but manager Bruce Bochy said the results were not back. Kontos was originally recalled May 6 and pitched in one game before being optioned to Fresno on May 10. He is 0-2 with a 3.80 ERA in 14 games with the Grizzlies this season.
