SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) -- Joey Curletta hit a two-run home run and had two hits, driving in three, and Reggie McClain allowed just five hits over six innings as the Modesto Nuts defeated the Inland Empire 66ers 9-2 on Wednesday.
McClain (7-2) picked up the win after he struck out four while allowing one run.
Trailing 1-0 in the third, Inland Empire tied the game when Yunel Escobar hit an RBI single, driving in Cody Ramer.
The Nuts grabbed the lead with six runs in the sixth inning, including two RBI each from Braden Bishop and Chris Mariscal.
Jose Rodriguez (5-4) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing four runs and six hits in the California League game. He also struck out five and walked one.
For the 66ers, Ramer doubled twice and singled.
