MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James had 33 points and 13 assists, Chris Bosh added 22 points and the Miami Heat hardly missed Dwyane Wade in a 118-83 rout of the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
James also grabbed eight rebounds and the Heat turned up the defensive intensity without their star guard. Wade sat out with a sore left foot, and his status for Thursday’s game at Atlanta is uncertain.
Roy Hibbert had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Indiana. Tyler Hansbrough scored 14.
Wade, a six-time All-Star, injured his foot in the second quarter at Charlotte on Dec. 28. He missed the first 10 minutes of the third period but played regular minutes the rest of the game and in the two that followed.
BULLS 99, PISTONS 83
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Richard Hamilton scored 14 points in his return to The Palace, and Chicago shut down Detroit.
Hamilton started after missing the previous two games with a sore left groin. He received a warm welcome from Detroit fans, many of whom stood and applauded the veteran guard who spent nine years with the Pistons before being waived prior to this season.
Hamilton went 5 of 9 from the field and added five assists. Derrick Rose had 17 points and 10 assists for the Bulls.
Five Chicago players finished in double figures, led by Carlos Boozer with 19 points. Joakim Noah had 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Greg Monroe had 19 points and 13 rebounds for Detroit. Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey didn’t play in the second half because of a left groin problem.
Chicago has won five straight and 12 in a row against the Pistons.
BOBCATS 118, KNICKS 110
NEW YORK (AP) — Boris Diaw rebounded from a dreadful game a night earlier with a season-high 27 points, and Charlotte snapped a four-game losing streak with a victory over New York.
Gerald Henderson added 24 for the Bobcats, who capped a three-game road trip by winning for the first time since their opener. Reserve Byron Mullens scored 16 and D.J. Augustin finished with 14 points and 10 assists. Charlotte shot 55 percent from the field.
The Bobcats ruined the returns of Amare Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert, who helped get the Knicks’ offense back on track but saw that effort wasted when they simply couldn’t guard Charlotte.
Stoudemire had 25 points and 12 rebounds after missing two games with a sprained left ankle. Shumpert (right knee) scored 18 off the bench.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 32, but 22 came in the fourth quarter when all he could do was make the score more respectable.
MAVERICKS 98, SUNS 89
DALLAS (AP) — Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points in his 1,000th NBA game to lead Dallas over Phoenix.
Jason Terry had 18 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, to help the defending NBA champions (3-4) string together consecutive wins for the first time this season.
Lamar Odom added 15 points in his best game since joining the Mavericks in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 11.
Steve Nash had 15 points and 12 assists for the Suns (2-4), while Marcin Gortat had 22 points and 10 rebounds.
CLIPPERS 117, ROCKETS 89
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Blake Griffin had 22 points and nine assists before sitting out most of the fourth quarter, Chris Paul added 20 points and 10 assists, and Los Angeles cruised to an easy victory over Houston.
Paul shot 9 for 14 and had three steals, extending his streak to 14 consecutive games with at least one. Reserve guard Randy Foye locked it up by scoring 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter.
Chauncey Billups returned to the lineup, playing his first home game with the Clippers after sitting out two because of a sore groin. He scored 13 points in 22 minutes.
Kyle Lowry had 17 points and five assists for the Rockets, who won 25 of their previous 31 games against the Clippers and held them under 100 points in 14 of the previous 15 meetings.
CELTICS 89, NETS 70
BOSTON (AP) — Paul Pierce scored nine of his 24 points during a game-breaking, third-quarter run and Avery Bradley hit his first career 3-pointer to help Boston beat injury-depleted New Jersey.
Reserve Brandon Bass scored 15 and grabbed 13 rebounds, and Rajon Rondo had eight points and 12 assists for the Celtics. Boston has won four straight since dropping all three on a season-opening road trip.
Kevin Garnett had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Bradley finished with 11 points.
Boston broke it open with an 18-3 run to close the third quarter.
MarShon Brooks, making his first career start, led the Nets with 17 points, and Jordan Farmar had 11. New Jersey has lost six straight since a season-opening win at Washington.
Nets guard Deron Williams missed the game with a sore right ankle, forward Kris Humphries with a sore left shoulder and center Brook Lopez with a broken right foot. Further depleting their roster, starting forward Damion James had his right foot stepped on late in the second quarter and didn’t play the second half.
Boston guard Ray Allen missed the game due to illness.
RAPTORS 92, CAVALIERS 77
TORONTO (AP) — Andrea Bargnani scored 31 points and Toronto beat Cleveland for its second straight win.
DeMar DeRozan added 25 points for the Raptors and Jose Calderon had 13 points and 11 assists.
The Raptors took the lead late in the first quarter and held it the rest of the way for their second victory of the season over the Cavaliers.
Antawn Jamison led Cleveland with 19 points. Rookie guard Kyrie Irving added 12.
MAGIC 103, WIZARDS 85
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Dwight Howard had 28 points and 20 rebounds, Ryan Anderson added 23 points and 15 rebounds and Orlando ran past winless Washington.
The Magic won for the fifth time in six games and had four players in double figures. Orlando has won seven straight against Washington and 15 of the last 18 meetings.
The Wizards got 17 points from Nick Young, but shot poorly all night and trailed by as many as 28 in falling to 0-6 for the first time in franchise history. They remain the NBA’s only winless team.
76ERS 101, HORNETS 93
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Jrue Holiday scored 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, leading Philadelphia over New Orleans.
Holiday, who was 3 for 9 from the field after three quarters, drained three 3-pointers and five of six shots the rest of the way. The 76ers trailed 73-67 at the end of the third, but Holiday scored 10 points down the stretch as Philadelphia extended an 84-83 lead to 98-89.
Evan Turner added 21 points and Spencer Hawes scored 17 for the 76ers, who won for the third time during a franchise-record five-game road trip to start the season.
Eric Gordon led New Orleans with 22 points after missing four consecutive games with a bruised knee. Carl Landry added 21 points and eight rebounds while Jarrett Jack had 19 points and 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Hornets from losing their fourth in a row.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rudy Gay had 19 points and eight rebounds, lifting Memphis over Minnesota in its first game since learning Zach Randolph would be out for six to eight weeks.
O.J. Mayo scored 11 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter and Mike Conley had 12 points and eight assists for the Grizzlies. Tony Allen added 20 points.
Kevin Love had 27 points and 14 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 12 points, 10 assists and four rebounds for the Timberwolves, who missed a chance for their first three-game winning streak since February 2010.
Love became the first player since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1975 to record 20 points and 12 rebounds in his team’s first six games.
