MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James scored a season-high 41 points, Mario Chalmers added 19 and the Miami Heat clinched a playoff spot with a 99-93 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.
James scored 14 straight Miami points in the fourth quarter, helping the Heat finish off a four-game season sweep of Philadelphia and extend their home-court winning streak to 16 games. Chris Bosh scored 17 points and Udonis Haslem grabbed 11 rebounds for Miami, which won despite Dwyane Wade sitting out with a bruised left knee.
Evan Turner scored 26 points for Philadelphia, which fell 1½ games behind Boston in the Atlantic Division. Lou Williams scored 18, Spencer Hawes added 12 and Andre Iguodala had 11 before leaving in the third quarter with a left eye contusion.
Miami improved to 9-1 when Wade doesn't play this season. He bruised his left knee in Sunday's loss at Boston, though the Heat are hopeful he will be ready for Wednesday's showdown with Oklahoma City.
LAKERS 91, NETS 87
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kobe Bryant scored 24 points and rattled home a 3-pointer with 6.8 seconds left, and Los Angeles blew every bit of a 17-point lead before holding on for a victory over New Jersey.
Pau Gasol had 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Ramon Sessions had 19 points and 11 assists as the Lakers put an ugly finish on their 11th victory in 15 games despite never trailing in their eighth consecutive win over the Nets.
Los Angeles led by 12 early in the fourth quarter, but Deron Williams led an 18-6 run for New Jersey, tying it on a 3-pointer with 1:29 left.
Bryant made a long jumper moments later, and the Lakers controlled the ball for 52 straight seconds during the final minute with an offensive rebound and an out-of-bounds deflection. Bryant then made his third 3-pointer, beating the shot clock with a rattling shot, and Williams missed his own 3-point attempt.
Williams scored 20 points, Gerald Wallace had 19, and Kris Humphries added 18 points and 15 rebounds amid steady boos for the Nets, whose first three-game winning streak of the season ended.
PACERS 112, KNICKS 104
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Danny Granger scored 14 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, and Indiana rallied from 17 points down in the second half to beat New York.
The Pacers outscored the Knicks 40-17 in the final 12 minutes.
Paul George scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter. Indiana reserves Leandro Barbosa and Dahntay Jones added 12 points each for the Pacers.
Carmelo Anthony scored a season-high 39 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Knicks.
New York is battling for a playoff spot without two of its best players. Forward Amare Stoudemire (back) missed a fifth straight game, and point guard Jeremy Lin is out for the regular season after having surgery on his left knee.
Landry Fields scored 15 points and Tyson Chandler added 12 points and 14 rebounds for New York, which fell to 9-3 under interim coach Mike Woodson.
PISTONS 102, MAGIC 95
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Greg Monroe had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and Detroit beat Orlando.
The Magic were without starters Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson and Ryan Anderson because of injuries.
Ben Gordon added 18 points for the Pistons. Jason Maxiell and Tayshaun Prince had 15 each, and Jonas Jerebko contributed 13.
Glen Davis, who started at center in Howard's place, led Orlando with a career-high 31.
The Magic have lost four straight, equaling their longest skid of the season.
Detroit shot 12 of 18 from the field in the fourth quarter.
SPURS 125, CAVALIERS 90
CLEVELAND (AP) — Danny Green scored 19 points against a Cleveland team that released him last season, Tony Parker added 19 and San Antonio coasted to its eighth straight win.
Green played his rookie season for Cleveland, which cut him at the end of training camp in 2011. He's found a new home with the Spurs, who built a 22-point lead in the first half and rested Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili for most of the fourth quarter while pushing their lead to 37.
Rookie Kyrie Irving scored 13 points for the Cavs in his return after missing one game with a sprained right shoulder.
Cleveland has lost eight in a row, 11 of 12 and been outscored by 72 points in its past two home games. Antawn Jamison led the Cavs with 15 points.
RAPTORS 92, BOBCATS 87
TORONTO (AP) — Andrea Bargnani scored 30 points, DeMar DeRozan had 20 and Toronto beat Charlotte.
Linas Kleiza scored 18 points and Jose Calderon added 11 assists and Toronto won back-to-back games for the first time since road victories at Phoenix on Jan. 24 and Utah on Jan. 25. The Raptors had gone 0-10 in games following victories since those wins.
Toronto, which beat Washington 99-92 on Sunday night, posted consecutive home wins for the first time since Dec. 1 and 3, 2010.
Byron Mullens had 20 points and 14 rebounds and D.J. Augustin scored 18 points and Charlotte lost its eighth straight. The Bobcats have not won since a home victory over the Raptors on March 17.
Derrick Brown had 12 points and Kemba Walker scored 10 for the Bobcats, whose 7-44 record is the NBA's worst.
