STOCKTON (AP) —Brett Siddall hit a two-run home run and had two hits as the Stockton Ports defeated the Visalia Rawhide 5-4 on Sunday.
Stockton started the scoring in the first inning when Nate Mondou hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Sandber Pimentel.
Trailing 5-2, the Rawhide cut into the deficit in the seventh inning when Fernery Ozuna scored on a wild pitch and Grant Heyman hit an RBI single.
Visalia missed an additional scoring opportunity in the seventh, when Matt Jones flew out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Brandon Bailey (1-0) got the win in relief while Visalia starter Cody Reed (1-3) took the loss in the California League game. Nolan Blackwood retired the side in order for his 10th save of the season.
Ozuna homered and singled, scoring two runs for the Rawhide.
With the win, Stockton improved to 8-4 against Visalia this season.
