SACRAMENTO (AP) — Mike Yastrzemski hit a sacrifice fly and drove in Austin Slater with the winning run in the 10th inning, as the Sacramento River Cats defeated the Tacoma Rainiers 11-10 on Monday.
Slater scored the game-winning run after he reached base on a walk and advanced to third on a double by Michael Reed.
Earlier in the inning, Reed doubled, scoring Henry Ramos to tie the game 10-10.
The Rainiers took a 10-9 lead in the top of the 10th when Austin Nola hit an RBI double, scoring J.P. Crawford.
Chase Johnson (1-0) got the win in relief while R.J. Alaniz (0-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.
For the Rainiers, Nola doubled twice and singled twice, scoring a couple of runs while also driving home two. Ian Miller doubled and singled, also stealing a base.
