The Manteca Cowboys turned in a heavy workout Thursday at Neil Hafley School with a jamboree scrimmage looming Saturday at Salida Middle School. Head coach Eddie Lopez and his coaching staff will lead the Cowboys into their first NYFL contest Aug. 15 against the Central Valley Panthers at Modesto’s Prescott Middle School. The ‘Boys return home to Manteca High a week later for a showdown with the Patterson Redskins.
