Battle of Dolphins goes to Manteca

Five wins, one loss.

That is the Manteca Dolphins season record in Mid-Valley Swim League dual and tri-meets going into this Saturday’s conference finale at Lathrop High. Their latest and final victims are the Dolphins of Ceres, who fell, 2,208.5 - 1,448.5 this past Saturday in Lathrop.

The dominant effort was anchored by eight Manteca swimmers who swept their three individual events. Racking up three first-place finishes were: Donovan Armstrong (9-10 boys), Hayden Beier (7-8 boys), McKeane Beier (6-under boys), Mallory Brubaker (11-12 girls), Garrett Kmiec (11-12 boys), Ashlynn See (7-8 girls), Scott Tolman (13-14 boys), Austin Welch (15-16 boys).

Earning first-place points in two individual events were: Johnny Buonauro (13-14 boys), Daniel Calderini (17-18 boys), Jason Machado (9-10 boys), Giovanni Padilla (11-12 boys), Zachary Thomas (15-16 boys).

Emma Ayers (9-10 girls), Kelly Ball (11-12 girls), Marisa Benham (15-16 girls), Angelo Brooks (6-under boys), Delaney Brubaker (7-8 girls), Ellie Burke (7-8 girls), Jeremy Coronado (17-18 boys), Jose Duenas (15-16 boys), Nancy Enriquez (13-14 girls), Ashlea Green (13-14 girls), Jordan Kmiec (13-14 girls), Sandra Rivera (17-18 girls), Hunter Sylvester (7-8 boys), David Tolman (11-12 boys), Lena Torrey (6-under girls) each won a single race.
