Brody Carabello and Cash Orndoff recently returned from an international baseball tournament in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Members of the undefeated majors champion Manteca Little League White Sox and the Manteca majors all-star team, Carabello and Ordoff represented CenCal last week. The team had six pool games in three days, going 5-1 with wins against teams from Canada, Michigan, New Jersey, West Covina and Irvine. The loss was to a Pennsylvania team.

CenCal earned a spot in the top eight and went on to defeat another team from New Jersey 10-0 before losing to a Northern California team, 7-6. CenCal finished in fifth place out of 63 teams.

Carabello produced some monster numbers, going 17 for 22 with a .773 batting average, 10 home runs (a tournament-high for more than 600 players), 23 RBI and 19 runs. He pitched five shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out eight.

Only 11 years old, Orndoff went 6 for 13 with two home runs, six RBI and five runs.
