The Northgate Little League Diamondbacks fell short against the Cardinals 10-5 despite some clutch individual play in Triple-A action.

Myreza Harper continued her four-game hitting streak for the Diamondbacks. Dylan Lee ended the first inning with an unassisted out at first, making it all possible with a diving snag.

In the fourth, relief pitcher Hunter Carmen kept the D’backs within range with two huge outs, including a strikeout, that prevented the Cardinals from doing further damage.

Later, sixth-inning reliever Anthony Avelar made a leaping grab off the mound to end the inning.

Also on Saturday, the Triple-A Indians defeated the Giants, 16-6.

John Perazzo pitched four scoreless innings for the Indians and teammate Malachi Hawkins had an RBI triple.
