Giants, As duel in Northgates farm division

In Northgate Little League action, the Giants and A’s met in farm league play, with Jack Cunial going 3-for-3 for the Ginats and scoring three runs. Luke Abrew was 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI while Cameron Pickering (3-for-3) and Bryant Lucchesi (2-for-2) also had good games.

Brayden Hibbs was 3-for-3 for the A’s and played solid defense. Teammate Keanu Duenas also got a hit.

In the Twins and Dodgers contest, Brendan Raspisura was 2-for-3 with a homerun for the Twins, while Joshua Garcia, Steven Aquila and Angel Flores all went 3-for-3.

The Dodgers and Red Sox action saw Alx Molina go 3-for-3 for the Dodgers and Jason Garcia collected two hits. Red Sox leadoff hitter Anthony Avelar was 3-for-3.

The Yankees and Pirates’ contest saw Tyler Ailee and Noah Calmes combine to go 6-for-7 and teammate Zane Sagado was also 4-for-4 for the Pirates. Devon Graves had a run late for the Yankees.

The Dodgers and Royals farm action saw Preston Darter smash a bases loaded triple for the Dodgers, and the Royals’ Nolan Mix go 4-for-4 with two doubles. Gabe Alegre and Derrik McKee combined for six hits and three runs.

The Pirates and Red Sox had great defensive efforts and the Pirates got a 4-for-4 game from Sammy Haena. Zane Salgado went 3-for-3 and drove in four.

In Minors play, The Brewers beat the Rockies 8-4. The Rockies were led by Louis Aquila’s six-strikeout pitching performance as well as his two runs scored. Austin Driscoll and Matthew Barnes both scored twice too. Eric Morales plated two runs for the Brewers.

The Rockies were able to handle the Giants 8-5 in a minors win. The Giants got a double and single form Zach White, while the Rockies got two hits apiece from Matthew Jordan and Louis Aquila.

The Red Sox got pummeled by the Brewers 16-7. The Brewers got two hits from Kyle Dias and Daniel Morales, whiel the Red Sox got six strikeouts on the mound from Eric Victoria.

In majors play, the Dodgers beat the Red Sox 11-2. The Dodgers were led by Anthony Contreras’ two hits and three RBI and he also had seven strikeouts on the mound. Harrison Heath went for the Red Sox, striking out six and collecting two doubles and a single at the plate.
