LATHROP – The Great Valley boys basketball team completed an impressive two-year run, capping off back-to-back undefeated seasons in a 45-31 Manteca Unified Student Trust Championship victory Thursday at Lathrop High.

The squad reeled off 26 consecutive wins over the two seasons, and earned their second District title in as many seasons.

“This is a special team,” Great Valley head coach Brian Berger said. “Their love of the game and their desire to make each other better has allowed them to form a bond that is so evident in the way they play.

“Working with them has been an incredible experience.”

Both Jason Flores and Jaelen Ragsdale led Great Valley with 12 points apiece, while teammate Malik Thomas finished in double figures with 10.

Shaheen Argand led Woodward with 10 points.
