Jacklich leads Knights rout of Tri-City Dogs

Kyle Jacklich scored three touchdowns and five conversion kicks to lead the Ripon Knights varsity past the Tri-City Bulldogs 46-16 in Trans-Valley Youth Football action.

Jacklich scored on runs of 24 and 40 yards and on a 65-yard interception return. Nick Creighton scored on a 2-yard run, Isaac Killingbeck on a 68-yard run and Michael Kamps on a 25-yard throw from Marcello Longstreth. Cade Alger had a 48-yard pass and a 45-yard reception.

Evan Nunes, Drew Van Vliet and Gregory Ricketts anchored the Knights defensive line. Keith Gagnon mad an interception and Reagan Kelley posted two sacks.

 

Junior Varsity

Bulldogs 18, Knights 12

The Knights could not capitalize on three fumble recoveries.

Reed Vander Hoak caught an 18-yard pass from Luke Weaver for one Ripon score and the other came on a 25-yard pass from Nolan Lingley to Wyatt Van Vliet.

Lingley had an interception, Jacob Van Groningan a fumble recovery and Weaver was in on multiple tackles.

 

Novice

Bulldogs 31, Knights 6

The Knights trailed by just 7-0 at halftime.

Ripon had a solid defensive effort from Thys van Der Hoek, Jacob Cormier, Jaylin Jackson, Christopher Cavazos, Colton Bryan, Griffin de Abreu, Ni Schatmeier, Jay Azavedo, Jake Eastwood, Jace Beidleman, Michael Oneil, Evan Jeffery, Mitch Lill and Tyler Jacklich.

Evan Jeffery scored the Knights touchdown on a 70-yard run. Mitch Lill had a 40-yard reception, Jace Beidleman 60 yards passing and de Abreu contributed on offense.

 

Jr. Novice

Ignacio Acuna and Carson Sanders formed a one-two punch for the Knights with  Sanders scoring all three touchdowns for Ripon in the second half.

Gage Stiern had two sacks and a fumble recovery while Sanders had an interception and several tackles. Zach Grabowski and Ignacio Acuna each added multiple tackles for Ripon.
