Jaguars throttle Bears

Angel Garay ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Manteca Jaguars varsity to a 38-8 win over the Merced Bears in Cen-Cal action.

Jose Ceja (92 yards rushing) Miguel Sequeira (84) and Elijah White all had a touchdown for Manteca with Gabriel Ramirez and David Barragan also contributing on offense.

Joe Ceja was in on eight tackles for the Jaguars. Angel Garay added six stops, Miguel Sequeira and Marcelo Grajeda three apiece and Elijah White two.

 

Junior varsity

Bears 14, Jaguars 8

Although the Jaguars held the Bears to 60 yards rushing, three costly mistakes took Manteca out of the game.

Dominic Rea has six carries for 47 yards with a 28-yard touchdown run for the Jaguars and Ryan Borgeson added 46 yards on nine carries.

Jesse Miranda had nine tackles for Manteca, Fernando Duran eight, Gerardo Escobar and Ryan Zimmerman seven, Dominic Rea six and Angel Grajada four.

 

Jr. Buffaloes 46, Seahawks 0

Kyle Jackson had 157 combined yards and four touchdowns for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Jackson had 97 yards rushing, 60 yards passing with two rushing and two passing touchdowns. Jacob DeJesus (220 rushing yards) added two rushing touchdowns, Garrett Genilla (54 receiving yards) two receiving touchdowns and Tyler Diaz one rushing touchdown.

Evans Nicholas led the Manteca defense with five tackles, including a quarterback sack and two fumble recoveries. Dillan Danley added a fumble recovery and two tackles.

 

Pee Wee

 Jaguars 20, Bears 13

Zane Salgado had 81 yards rushing with a touchdown for the Jaguars.

Marcus Brennan added 52 yards rushing with Jamari Hodge (31 yards rushing) and Jesus Gomez (21) each scoring a touchdown.

Dylan Zimmerman, Alfredo Ramirez and Marcus Brennan led the Manteca defense with Isaac Allegiar making a key sack and Jesus Gomez a fumble recovery.

 

Rookies

Jr. Buffaloes vs. Seahawks

Peyton Nieman had a 110-yard rushing day and scored a touchdown for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Quinn Martinez added two touchdowns and Diego Esparza one for Manteca.

Bryson McMichael led the Jr. Buffaloes defense with seven tackles. Diego Esparza, Ezra Alvarado and Ethan Nascimento had three tackles apiece for Manteca.
