In a rematch from the 2013 clash of the unbeatens, the Manteca Jr. Buffaloes varsity turned the tables and downed the host Oakdale Stampede 28-24 Saturday in Cen-Cal action.
Dezmin Ware shredded the Stampede defense for 225 yards on the round with touchdown runs of 21, 66 and 70 yards. Chris Ortiz ran for 77 yards with a 64-yard scoring run. Trinidad Diaz had a 24-yard pass to Clayton Hatle and Tyler Ellks had 38-yard rushing.
Ortiz had seven tackles, Tyler Brintley and Noe Saldivar six each, Hatle five and Ellks four.
Junior Varsity
Jr. Buffaloes 38, Stampede 20
Kyle Jackson had 170 yards rushing with four touchdowns for the Jr. Buffaloes, including scoring runs of 60 and 71 yards, and Jacob DeJesus had 167 yards on the ground with two touchdowns.
Evan Nicholas led the Manteca defense with seven tackles. Jackson (fumble recovery) had five stops, DeJesus and Jake Sandoval (forced fumble) four each and Kevin Thornburg recovered a fumble.
Manteca Jaguars 24, Ceres Seahawks 0
Every member of the starting Jaguars defensive unit had a tackle to post the second shutout in a row for Manteca.
Ryan Borgeson (five carries, 139 yards) had three touchdowns for the Jaguars, scoring on runs of 57 and 60 yards and on a 35-yard punt return. Dominic Rea (three carries for 94 yards, one reception for 25 yards) had a 65-yard touchdown run, Lorenzo Ceja was 2 for 2 passing for 32 yards Darion Chaivs had two carries for 33 yards.
Peewees
Jr. Buffaloes 24, Stampede 0
Daniel Rushing had nine carries for 75 yards with touchdown runs of 15 and 25 yards to lead the Jr. Buffaloes. Eduardo Lomeli scored added a 10-yard touchdown run and an 84-yard touchdown catch from Colton Stonum. Dyland DePrater added two carries for 11 yards and David Juarez three carries for 30 yards.
Andrew Magana had six stops for Manteca with Bryan Howe and Daymari Cox adding five each.
Seahawks 48, Jaguars 6
Jason Aucello II hit Kaiona Ontai with a 31-yard touchdown pass for the lone Jaguars score.
Ontai had 41 rushing yards and Aucello II 34 yards on the ground.

Jr. Buffaloes
Quinn Martinez scored on a quarterback keeper for the Jr. Buffaloes and Peyton Nieman (fumble recovery) led the offense with six first downs.
Anthony Nixon and Bryson McMichael led the Manteca defense with three tackles apiece.
Jaguars
The Jaguars scored two touchdowns to one for the Seahawks.
Joshua Seals had a 55-yard touchdown run for the Jaguars and had 75 rushing yards. Moises Alvarado had the other Manteca touchdown on a 40-yard interception return.
Kash King had three tackles for the Jaguars and Alvarado, Braeden Campbell (pass deflection) and Isaac Hashim (35 yards rushing) all had two stops apiece.
