The Modesto Empire Vikings spoiled the shutout bid by the Manteca Jr. Timberwolves with a last-minute score as the Timberwolves posted an 18-7 win Saturday in novice Delta Youth Football League action.

Francisco Murillo got Manteca on the board in the second quarter with a 1-yard touchdown run and Mikey Garcia scored twice in the third quarter on a 7-yard run and a 35-yard punt return.

Garcia made 12 tackles, Alijah Cota seven, Francisco Murillo (forced fumble, fumble recovery) six, Gannon Anderson five and Isaiah Sanchez four.

Luis Rivera was the workhorse for the Jr. Timberwolves, as he rushed 23 times for 205 yards and touchdown.
