Manteca Jr. Timberwolves safety Tarnjot Singh saved his team’s 14-6 win over the Manteca Chargers with a late-game interception and set up the first Jr. Timberwolves score with an interception on Saturday in varsity Delta Youth Football action at Dino Cunial Field.

Josiah Medina (115 yards rushing) scored on a 2-yard run following Singh’s first interception and teammate Michael Sucher added a 30-yard scoring run.

Dauae Hokes scored the Charger’s touchdown.

 

Novice

Jr. T’Wolves 27, Chargers 6

Behind an outstanding effort by the offensive line of Dominic Horn, Snowden Snyder, Richard Torrez, Frankie Tafoya, and Jacob Codde the Jr. Timberwolves offense gained 286 yards and had 16 first downs.

Luis Rivera led the Jr. Timberwolves with 21 carries for 171 yards and touchdown runs of 5 and 20 yards. Zavier Sadorra scored on runs of 8 and 9 yards, gaining 42 yards on seven carries. Moses Segura Jr. added 41 yards on seven carries. Sadorra had a 9-yard reception from Winston Snyder who had two carries for 23 yards.

Winston Snyder led the Jr. Timberwolves with 10 tackles. Jacob Codde added nine stops, Richard Torrez seven tackles, Frankie Teicheira and Frankie Tafoya six each, Moses Segura Jr. and Luis Rivera five apiece with contributions from Julian Moncada, Anthony Gollihar, Robert Gaston and Jeriah Keener.
