The high-octane offense of the Manteca Jr. Timberwolves varsity ran out of gas Saturday in a 46-13 loss to the Dublin Fighting Irish in the Delta Youth Football League South Conference Championship at Ceres High School.

The speed and depth of the Irish were just too much for the Jr. Timberwolves to handle as Manteca was held to its lowest point total in three months.

Michael Sucher led the Jr. Timberwolves offense with a 48-yard touchdown run and a 34-yard touchdown pass to Tarnjot Singh.

With just 18 players on the roster – and eight of them having never played football before – Manteca had an amazing inaugural season and many reasons to be proud of its accomplishments.
