Kingsmen trip up Ripon Knights in TVFL contest

 RIPON – The junior varsity Ripon Knights could  not get on track Saturday in a 44-7 loss to the Modesto Christian Kingsmen in Trans Valley Youth Football League action at Ripon Christian High School.
Jace Beidleman hit Rey Galindo with a touchdown pass in the second quarter for the lone Ripon score.

Novice
Modesto Christian Kingsmen 27, Ripon Knights 18
 Hunter Steele scored three touchdowns for the Knights, two on the ground and one on a punt return, while gaining 186 yards on the ground.
Jack Peters had a nice 35-yard run behind the Ripon offensive line that battled all day
Brady Rossi led the Knights defense with four tackles and two fumble recoveries. Nikko Juarez added six stops, Devon Richardson five, Brody Nail four and Mario Garcia (forced fumble) and Roman Guzman three apiece.

Jr. Novice
Ripon Knights, Modesto Christian Kingsmen (No score kept at this level)
Anthony Alves, Christian Chavez, Landon Corcoran, Mason Durao, Van Hendrix, Caelan Johnston, Dylan Parker, Wyatt Prime, Logan Qualls, Carmelo Rodriguez, and Mason Brum kept the Kingsmen out of the end zone most of the morning.
Gavin Decena had a huge game for the Knights with 140 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Landon Corcoran added one touchdown on 30 yards rushing.
Alex Bettencourt, Jax Booth, Jaiden Chandar, Evan Gyger, Jayden Huber, Keegan Kosaka, Alex Rader, Andrew Ribeiro, Kaeo Sanchez, Jesse Walker, and Nate New all blocked well for Ripon.
