Lancer youth grapplers strike gold at Bear Creek

The Lancer Youth Wrestling Club struck gold at last Sunday’s Bear Creek youth tournament.

Included were three gold medals – Tommy Perrea, Dominic Addiego, and Zack Wilson automatically earned their awards – in the Rookies division along with seven gold, one silver and one bronze medalists.

Gianni Addiego (60 pounds, bantam or 6-7 years-old), Adrian Rios (75-plus, first year, bantam), Tyler Diaz (60, first place, first year in the intermediate or age 8-9 bracket), Isaiah Ford (65, first place, intermediate), Armando Torres (113, first place, intermediate), Branden Rullan (77, first place, school boy or sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders), and Jaysen Reindel (136, first place, school boy) earned gold.

Meanwhile, silver medal was awarded to Ethan Rullan (60, second place, intermediate) and bronze went to Trinidad Diaz (70 / 75, third place, novice or 10-11 year-old youngsters).

The group will travel to Los Banos High Sunday for its next San Joaquin Wrestling Association tournament.
