The Manteca Cowboys improved to a perfect 9-0 record in the National Youth Football League.
They boosted their mark with a 34-7 win over the Fremont Junior Huskies.
“The offense was on target,” said Cowboy president Eddie Lopez.
Manteca was led by quarterback Chris Hocker, who connected with Kevin Cunningham on a 58-yard scoring toss and Gabe Munoz on a 46-yard pass play. His 1-yard scoring plunge added to the tally.
Cunningham had 63 yards rushing with a 38-yard touchdown run.
Kashon Andrews also helped out, scoring on a 5-yard run.
The Huskies’ only touchdown came late in the game with the outcome secured.
Gabe Munoz paced the Cowboy defense with seven tackles and an interception. L.J. Falatuli had five tackles and Andrews, Hocker, and Malik Lott each registered three tackles.
Rene Delgado also had three stops and a fumble recovery.
The Cowboys will celebrate homecoming this Saturday against the Ceres Raptor at Manteca High’s Guss Schmiedt Field.
The theme will be pink for breast cancer awareness.

Alejandro Loaiza paced the Cowboy attack, scoring twice on offense while registering five tackles on defense.
He rushed for 56 yards on five carries and hauled in a 20-yard touchdown pass from Joseph Macias.
Macias also converted on three PATs and had three tackles.
Touchdowns were also scored by Jake Larkin and Angel Sena.
On defense, Marcus Panelo had a team-high seven tackles and Baily Simons came up with a fumble recovery along with three stops.
In addition, Seuseu Alofaituli (three tackles), Steven Jasper (two tackles), Robert Tavares (two tackles), Gabriel Francisco (two tackles), Joseph Dunham (two tackles), Domingo Vargas (two tackles), and Sena (two tackles) helped out.

Manteca improved to 7-2 in the DYFL by squeaking past Fremont.
Ronald Wright led the way with 155 yards on 20 carries and three touchdowns. He also converted on three extra points and delivered six tackles on defense.
Kyle Wesley gained 100 yards on 13 pops with a touchdown and a pair of tackles.
