Northgate 11s hold roll to District 67 final

LATHROP — Northgate scored in every inning but the fifth Tuesday and withstood a late Manteca rally to post a 12-7 win in semifinal action of the District 67 9-11 All-Star Tournament at Mossdale Landing Park.
Trailing 12-3 going into the bottom of the sixth, Manteca got the first four batters aboard and eventually across the plate. Anthony Jiminez and Maddox Melendez walked followed by Chris Chavez Jr. singling to load the bases. Isiah Lynch walked to plate Jiminez, Eddie Anthony (two RBI) hit a sacrifice fly to score Melendez, Chavez Jr. came in on a single by Isaac Acuna and Lynch scored on a fielder’s choice by Eliseo Cervantez.
Back-to-back singles by Dylan Stonum and Hayden Coronado loaded the bases with two outs but a strikeout ended the rally.
A two-RBI double by Hunter Canady (2 for 4, two RBI, double, two runs) scoring George Mendoza and Blake Mount closed out a four-run spurt for Northgate in the top of the sixth. Kila Day walked to lead off the frame and Collins Schluer was hit by a pitch, and both came in to score on an error off the bat of Blake Mount (2 for 3, RBI, double, three runs).
Noah Navarro belted a two-RBI double in the first inning, scoring Schluer and Mendoza for a 2-0 lead Northgate would not relinquish. Schluer added an RBI double in the second, scoring Robbie Espinosa.
Manteca faces either Spreckels or Lathrop on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the consolation final with the winner advancing to the championship round against Northgate on Friday afternoon at 5:30.

Tracy American 10, Spreckels Park 6

TRACY — Spreckels Park scored four runs in the sixth inning but came up short at Legacy Fields in third-round action.
Jimmy Burns doubled in the sixth for Spreckels Park while A.J. Chapman and Lorenzo Jones both singled. All three went on to score as did David Bauer who walked. Jackson Fay scored in the first inning and tripled and scored in the third for Spreckels Park.
Spreckels Park plays in a consolation contest Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Spreckels Park 10, Turlock American 3
TURLOCK — Spreckels Park carried a 10-1 lead into the bottom of the seventh and held on for the championship win at Pedretti Field and will travel to the Nor-Cal State Tournament on Saturday in Visalia.
Lashon Thomas, Kenny Kuwada, Louis Aquila and Mauricio Arnoldus all scored twice for Spreckels Park.
